After 441 days, 99,767 kilometers, and 92 countries across six continents, the Challenge4 team has officially secured a new Guinness World Record for the most countries visited in a continuous journey by a battery-powered electric vehicle.
Following the completion of the South America leg, the team added 13 more countries on the final stretch of the journey, traveling from Morocco all the way through the Middle East before returning to Hanover, Germany, where the record was officially confirmed during this yearโs IAA TRANSPORTATION.
Throughout this extraordinary adventure, Maxion steel wheels supported the fully electric Volkswagen ID. Buzz across deserts, mountain roads, busy cities, remote regions, and nearly 100,000 kilometers of real-world driving. After a week of customer meetings, product demonstrations, technical discussions, new connections, and more than a few giveaway entries, our team is heading home inspired by the conversations we've had and the interest we've seen across our portfolio.
